Transport and Trips

Helping you

Transport and trips

Getting out and about can make a real difference to wellbeing, confidence and quality of life, yet for many people, transport becomes a barrier rather than a freedom.

Our transport and trips service offers safe, reliable travel with friendly companionship, helping individuals stay connected to their community, maintain independence and continue enjoying the things that matter to them. Whether it’s a short trip for a coffee, attending social activity or simply getting some fresh air, support is tailored around comfort, reassurance and enjoyment, not just getting from A to B.

This service is especially valuable for those who may feel anxious about travelling alone, experience mobility challenges or lack confidence following illness or changes to health.

Why it matters

Why this support matters

Loss of mobility or transport access can quickly lead to isolation, low mood and declining wellbeing. For many people, especially where community transport options are limited, opportunities to socialise or take part in everyday activities can quietly disappear. Having a familiar, trusted person alongside you can make outings feel manageable again, removing stress, reducing anxiety and turning trips into something to look forward to rather than avoid.

Preventing Isolation

Loss of mobility or transport can quietly reduce social contact, leading to isolation and low mood. This support helps people stay connected to everyday life and their community.

Reducing Anxiety

Outings can feel stressful or overwhelming when confidence drops. Having a familiar, trusted person alongside you removes pressure and makes trips feel manageable again.

Protecting Wellbeing

Regular social interaction, fresh air and meaningful activity all play an important role in emotional and mental wellbeing, especially when transport options are limited.

Confidence to Go Out

With reassurance and companionship, outings become something to look forward to rather than avoid, helping rebuild confidence and independence over time.
